ESPN FPI prediction: Miss. State football vs. Arizona
9/9/23 – Mississippi State Bulldogs vs. Arizona Wildcats
In week two, the MSU Bulldogs will welcome the Arizona Wildcats to Starkville. And of course, as with the Southeastern Louisiana matchup, ESPN FPI has a prediction for this contest as well.
The Bulldogs, led by head coach Zach Arnett, are looking to make a statement against the Wildcats just as they did back in 2022 under Mike Leach. And as it turns out, that 2022 matchup out in Tucson was the first time the Bulldogs ever got to face this particular brand of Wildcat.
In case you don’t remember, the game was a bit sloppy, but the Miss. State Bulldogs ended up beating Arizona 39-17. Of course, it was a night game out in Tucson. So, well, it was functionally a Pac 12 after dark special featuring Mike Leach.
It was bound to be a fun, chaotic mess.
