2023 ESPN FPI prediction: Miss. State vs. Southern Miss
11/18/23 – Mississippi State Bulldogs vs. Southern Miss Golden Eagles
It’s been a little bit since the Mississippi State football team and the Southern Miss Golden Eagles have met up and it’s about time that the Bulldogs welcome USM to Davis Wade Stadium once more.
This will be the second-to-last home game of the season for Mississippi State and it’s the first of two in-state matchups that will be happening for the Bulldogs in just a short span of time. In back-to-back contests, Mississippi State will meet with two Mississippi teams.
And this is a game that the Bulldogs should be able to win with relative ease. The Bulldogs shouldn’t struggle too much here. Or at least we hope they shouldn’t.
There’s a pretty big talent differential here. If Miss. State struggles with Southern Miss, we’ve got some pretty big problems.
