The Mississippi State baseball team is gearing up for a midweek matchup with the Grambling State University Tigers. Mississippi State is still looking to find some consistency as the Bulldogs have struggled at times during the first two weekend series to start the 2022 college baseball season.

The Bulldogs opened the season up with a disappointing series loss to Long Beach State. Mississippi State got a bit back on track last Tuesday when they demolished University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff 17-1.

However, Mississippi State’s second weekend series started off with a frustrating Friday evening loss to the Northern Kentucky Norse. State got back on track, defeated the Norse on Saturday and Sunday, and now the Bulldogs are looking to get back to winning.

While some Mississippi State fans may be frustrated with how the Bulldogs are doing so far, Grambling has had a much rougher start to the 2022 college baseball season. While Mississippi State sits at 4-3, the Tigers have a 2-4 record and are currently on a three-game losing streak.
