After taking a series away from the Georgia Bulldogs in Starkville to wrap up the regular season, Samantha Ricketts and her Mississippi State Bulldogs are heading into the 2024 SEC softball tournament with a pretty solid.
The Auburn Tigers will be hosting this season’s SEC softball tournament, so, the five-day event is set to take place at Jane B. Moore Field in Auburn, Alabama.
The tournament will feature the Southeastern Conference’s 13 teams (Vanderbilt does not have a softball program) with the Tennessee Lady Vols claiming the top spot after their stellar run through the regular season.

SEC softball tournament bracket released
The SEC tournament is set to begin the evening of Tuesday, May 7th, with the first matchup of the event being between the Kentucky Wildcats and the Ole Miss Rebels at 6 p.m. The action continues the following morning, on Wednesday, May 8th, with the LSU Tigers facing the Alabama Crimson Tide at 10 a.m. in game 2.
In game 3, the Missouri Tigers will face the winner of game 1 (Ole Miss vs. Kentucky), while the Georgia Bulldogs and Auburn Tigers will clash in game 4. The Mississippi State Bulldogs and South Carolina Gamecocks will also face off to wrap up day two of the conference tournament.
On Thursday (day three), we get to see the top-seeded teams in action, with the Tennessee Lady Vols taking on the winner of game 2 (LSU vs. Alabama), followed by the Arkansas Razorbacks (vs. the winner of game 3), Florida Gators vs. the winner of game 4), and Texas A&M Aggies vs. the winner of game 5).
From there, the winners of games 6 and 7 will meet up in game 10 and then the winners of games 8 and 9 will face each other during game 11. And then it all culminates with the championship game, which will be between the winners of games 10 and 11.
