The Rebels are aiming to turn their regular season struggles into postseason success as they head into the SEC Tournament as the No. 13 seed. It’s a difficult spot to really build a ton of momentum from though.

- Lexie Brady – Lexie Brady’s 13 home runs lead the Rebels and she can help Ole Miss score runs in a hurry. Her .271 batting average isn’t bad, but Ole Miss would likely enjoy it if she were getting hits more regularly (largely because she’s dangerous at the plate).
- Jalia Lassiter – Jalia Lassiter has been a consistent performer for Ole Miss and she’s coming into the SEC tournament boasting a .324 batting average. Her speed while rounding the bases makes her a game-changer as she leads the Rebels with 18 stolen bases.

Ole Miss can score some runs and their pitching staff is pretty good.
While the Rebels are far from a perfect team and they’ve been wildly inconsistent at times, the Ole Miss softball team has demonstrated (against the likes of a good LSU Tigers team and the seemingly always impressive Arkansas Razorbacks) that this team can compete.
But will we see any sort of consistency from Ole Miss?
Despite a challenging regular season, the Rebels’ pitching staff has been able to put together a solid 2.87 ERA throughout the season. Ole Miss has even managed to strike out 318 batters this season.
But again, Ole Miss faces an uphill battle in the 2024 SEC softball tournament. They’re an underdog. They’ve got to get through the Kentucky Wildcats to even play their way into the main part of the tournament.
If that happens, it’ll be interesting to see if they have the depth to be able to make a run in the tournament or if they lose steam.
