Twitter celebrates Mississippi State’s dominant win over Bowling Green

The Mississippi State football team was able to cruise to a pretty solid victory over the Bowling Green Falcons. Things weren’t perfect for the Bulldogs, but Mississippi State sure looked pretty great throughout this contest against a clearly outmatched opponent.

Saturday afternoon, Mike Leach and company came out and absolutely throttled the Falcons, winning in impressive and clearly dominant fashion. At times it seemed like MSU’s offense could not be stopped as the Bulldogs went on to win 45-14.

Will Rogers was remarkable in the victory and threw for 406 yards and 6 touchdowns while completing 77.5 percent of his passes.

That’s pretty good!

With this win, which was certainly what Mississippi State fans needed after last week’s debacle, it sure looks like State fans are pretty happy at the moment. Sure, this was a win that was expected and it was a blowout that the Bulldogs were expecting to get, but it’s also great to see things go according to plan.

It’s safe to say that today was pretty fun for Jamire Calvin, who caught a touchdown pass on his birthday. That has to makes things pretty fun.

This win was a pretty good palate cleanser for Mississippi State football fans. It’s definitely much better than what the Bulldogs did last week and it’s (theoretically) something that can be used to build momentum as the Bulldogs move into a pretty tough stretch of games.

Rogers was electrifying and thrilling to watch during this contest. After things weren’t great a week ago, this is the sort of performance that Bulldog fans wanted to see him have.

Now the Bulldogs will gear up for a couple of intriguing home contests in back-to-back weeks. Mississippi State will welcome the Texas A&M Aggies to Starkville next week and then face off against the Arkansas Razorbacks the week after that.

Here’s to hoping that Mississippi State can have similar sorts of performances over the next couple weeks.
