2022 ESPN FPI predictions: Nebraska football favored in 8 games

Scott Frost and his Nebraska football team desperately need some wins. The Nebraska Cornhuskers have struggled considerably under Frost’s leadership over the past few years. For Frost to get some pressure off his back and for Nebraska football fans to be satisfied, the Huskers have to start winning.

Interestingly enough, despite last season’s less than stellar results, this season’s Nebraska football team might find itself in position to get some wins. Well, at least that’s what ESPN’s Football Power Index is thinking. According to ESPN’s FPI, the 2022 Nebraska football season might be a fairly respectable one. ESPN’s FPI is giving the Huskers a pretty good shot at getting a solid amount of wins this season.

While most Nebraska football fans who think fondly about the team’s successful seasons and focus on what the program accomplished a few decades ago might not normally be satisfied with 8 wins, that win total would be a considerable improvement over what Nebraska has had the past couple years.

And eight wins might be in reach for the Huskers this season. According to ESPN’s FPI, the Huskers are favored in eight games this year.
