Things got started off well in the Mississippi State softball game as the Bulldogs crushed a 2-run home run to claim an early lead over the Tennessee Lady Vols.
With Mia Davidson already on second following a double, Chloe Malau’ulu absolutely hammered this pitch upwards, sending it into the sky and over the fence. And thankfully the Bulldogs were able to claim a solid early lead on the road against one of the best teams in the country.
That’s a great way to get a game started.
Of course, the situation is going to evolve quickly. The score is no longer 2-0. Mississippi State is tied with the Lady Vols at 2-2 as the game is now headed into the second inning. Mississippi State will need to get a few more hits if the Bulldogs are going to walk away winners.
