Early on in Mississippi State softball’s second game against the Tennessee Lady Vols, the Bulldogs were able to jump out to a 2-0 lead thanks to a monumental home run.
That first home run happened while Mia Davidson was on second after she hit a double. This solo shot home run came from Davidson after the Lady Vols had tied the game in the 1st inning at 2-2. But with the game tied, Davidson did one heck of a job launching this pitch out of the park to give the Bulldogs a 3-2 advantage over the Lady Vols.
Just an incredible hit. You need to see it.
Mississippi State softball: Bulldogs launch home runs to jump out to early lead vs. Tennessee Lady Vols
That first home run came from Chloe Malau’ulu.
With Davidson already on second following a double, Malau’ulu absolutely hammered this pitch upwards, sending it into the sky and over the fence. And thankfully the Bulldogs were able to claim a solid early lead on the road against one of the best teams in the country.
That home run was absolutely wonderful. Just the perfect way to get a game started.
The Bulldogs currently hold a 3-2 lead over the Lady Vols.
