Jackie McKenna doesn’t seem keen on being left out of all the home run fun the Mississippi State softball team is having while playing against the Tennessee Lady Vols. With two runners on and a couple outs in the top of the 3rd inning, McKenna cleared the bases with a 3-run shot to extend Mississippi State’s lead.
The Bulldogs are doing well with hitting home runs against Tennessee in game 2. Mississippi State is generally one of the better teams in the SEC when it comes to crushing home runs, but the Bulldogs have definitely been on fire as of late. The Bulldogs have hit three home runs so far today against Tennessee.
That includes this one from McKenna.

Mississippi State got started with Chloe Malau’ulu hitting a 2-run home run to give the Bulldogs an early 2-0 lead over the Lady Vols.
Tennessee quickly tied things up, but in the top of the 3rd inning, Mia Davidson smacked a solo shot home run to give the Bulldogs a 3-2 lead over the Lady Vols.
Now, thanks to McKenna and some other impressive and timely hits, the Bulldogs have seen that lead grow. At the moment, Mississippi State holds an 8-2 lead over the Lady Vols in the top of the 6th inning.
