Pregame poll: How will Mississippi State softball do against Tennessee?

Samatha Ricketts and her Mississippi State softball team are preparing for what is almost certainly their toughest test of the season so far. A road trip to Knoxville, Tennessee isn’t something the Bulldogs can overlook because the Tennessee Lady Vols have one heck of a team built and ready to win.

The Bulldogs have seen some ups and downs throughout the season so far, but Mississippi State is currently riding a bit of a hot streak and has momentum working in its favor. Heading into this SEC road series, the Bulldogs are on a 7-game winning streak dating back to the Bulldogs sweeping the Ole Miss Rebels last weekend.

With an overall record of 23-10 and an SEC record of 4-2, the Bulldogs are currently sitting in the upper echelon of the SEC standings. Mississippi State currently has the same SEC record as Georgia and Arkansas and the Mississippi State softball team is just above the Lady Vols. At the moment, Tennessee has an overall record of 23-9 and an SEC record of 5-3.
