This weekend, as a whole, was a pretty good one for Mississippi State. Things on the basketball court are kinda bleak right now. Both Ben Howland and Vic Schaefer were on the losing end of things over the weekend.

But MSU saw solid victories on the baseball and softball diamonds. The baseball team actually looked really good against an Oregon State team that is seemingly trying to figure out who it is.

Softball, meanwhile, went out to the West Coast and played pretty well against some respectable teams.

As such, the Bulldogs find themselves with solid rankings in the FanSided Top 25 college baseball and college softball rankings. (I’ve been working to revive college baseball and college softball coverage at FanSided and we did some pretty cool work last season. We’re going to do more cool work this season too. Go check it out).

GET TO THIS BASKETBALL GAME AND DO SOME GOOD:

If possible, you should go to this Mississippi State basketball game. The Bulldogs are raising money as part of a campaign to benefit the American Cancer Society. Get your butt in a seat and help out and also enjoy some basketball. To learn more, click here.

Has youth, inexperience caught up to Mississippi State?

Mississippi State is relying a lot on young players this season. Is this a gamble? Will it blow up in MSU’s face? Read more here.
