The No. 5 Mississippi State Bulldogs are back in action at Dudy Noble Field after taking two games from the Oregon State Beavers over the weekend. The Mississippi State baseball team (5-1) will host the Texas Southern Tigers (0-9) this afternoon.
As you can see by Texas Southern’s winless record, the Tigers are struggling this season. This provides Chris Lemonis a chance to experiment with the Bulldogs a little bit and rest some of MSU’s more proven pitchers. State should be afforded a chance to try out some pitchers with a little less experience in this game.
Here’s what you need to know to keep up with the game:
- Who: No. 5 Mississippi State (5-1) vs. Texas Southern (0-9)
- When: Feb. 25 at 4 p.m.
- Where: Starkville, MS.
How to watch:
- TV Channel: SEC Network+
- Live stream: WatchESPN
Hopefully A&M is STILL focused on how impressive they looked last Saturday.
At the time, the win over LSU seemed monumental. It may have been fool’s gold. Now, Mike Leach and MSU must prove themselves again. Can they do that this year?
If this season is to be salvaged, Mississippi State needs to stop this tailspin. Otherwise, things are only going to get uglier and uglier. And to be completely honest, I don’t want to see anything uglier than a 24-2 loss to Kentucky.
