The Mississippi State football team won’t be the only group in the SEC that honors Sam Westmoreland during their game Saturday. The Missouri Tigers have also joined in with the Bulldogs in paying tribute to Westmoreland after the 18-year-old member of the Bulldogs died earlier this week.

Mississippi State is breaking out helmet stickers as part of their efforts to respect Westmoreland’s memory and Mizzou has nearly identical stickers as well.

The official Mississippi State football Twitter account shared a video highlighting the stickers on MSU’s helmets for their game against the Alabama Crimson Tide Saturday evening. The Tigers responded with a photo showcasing their helmet stickers and helmets.

Westmoreland would have turned 19 this week.

It’s heartwarming to see the Tigers join in on this tribute for Westmoreland.
