
Mississippi State student-athletes aren’t just finding success on the field or on the court, the Bulldogs are also thriving in the classroom. According to a news release from the Mississippi State Athletic Department, more than 100 Mississippi State student-athletes earned a spot on the SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll.
In fact, a record number of Bulldogs were recognized for their academic achievements.
“A record number of Mississippi State student-athletes earned SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll recognition, the league office announced on Thursday. The Bulldogs’ 113 student-athletes surpasses their 2020 mark (107) for the most spring honor roll selections in history.”

According to the news release, the Mississippi State Women’s Track and Field team led the way with 29 members on the SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll. The Mississippi State Men’s Track and Field team had 21 members recognized. The baseball team and softball team followed the track and field teams with 18 recognized members and 16 recognized members respectively.
Here’s how all of the teams stacked up:
- Women’s Track and Field – 29
- Men’s Track and Field – 21
- Baseball – 18
- Softball – 16
- Men’s Golf – 9
- Women’s Golf – 8
- Men’s Tennis – 7
- Women’s Tennis – 5
