I’m not totally shocked by this. I shouldn’t be shocked by this. Okay, I might be a little shocked by this. Apparently Mike Leach is buddies with the actor who portrayed Jesus in the movie “The Passion of the Christ.”

Jim Caviezel, has been in many a movie and TV show over the years, including, but not limited to, “The Passion of the Christ,” “Person of Interest,” and a multitude of others.

The head coach of the Mississippi State Bulldogs seems to have a lot of interests and has probably connected with quite a few folks over the years. It shouldn’t be surprising that Leach likely has an expansive and extensive friend group that would include Caviezel.

And today, Caviezel and Leach apparently got together. MSU’s head football coach shared a pic of him and his friend hanging out in Starkville.

Again, something like this shouldn’t shock me.

I’m still a little stumped by this because I didn’t expect it, and here we are. I should probably simply just stop having expectations about what’s going to happen with Leach because there’s always going to be something new and intriguing going on.

It wasn’t even that long ago that Mike Leach was exploring Dubai.

I’d love to know how that Dubai trip came to be. I’d also love to know how Leach and Caviezel became friends. I’m sure that’s a pretty good story.

As with all things surrounding Leach, it’s probably fair to expect the unexpected. He’s an entertaining and eccentric man who embarks upon entertaining and unexpected adventures and also brings unexpected friends to Starkville.
