College baseball is a pretty big thing in the Southeastern Conference. Several SEC baseball teams have some of the best facilities in the country and the most passionate NCAA baseball fanbases around.

And so, it shouldn’t be shocking that the SEC baseball standings would be full of teams competing at a high level and looking to make it all the way to Omaha for the 2024 College World Series.

The SEC West has been an absolute slugfest this season, with teams beating up on each other week in and week out.

At the moment, the Arkansas Razorbacks are holding on to a slim lead in the division. They’ve emerged as the top dog so far, sporting an impressive 12-3 conference record behind a powerful lineup and lockdown pitching, but the Razorbacks can’t breathe easy as Texas A&M is nipping at their heels. The Aggies are just one game back at 11-4.

Mississippi State (7-8) and Alabama (6-9) aren’t really in the thick of the race, but they’ve done well for themselves at times this season, showing they can take down any opponent on a given day. Ole Miss (5-10) has been a disappointment but the Rebels showed some real life against their rivals over the weekend.

Meanwhile, LSU (3-12) has struggled mightily in SEC play. At the bottom, Auburn (2-12). The Tigers are having a hard time.

It’s safe to say that the SEC East division has been a pretty fierce battleground this season. There’s a lot of parity throughout the division right now, but Nick Mingione and Kentucky have done well to dominate the league, crushing opponents with a potent offense and outstanding pitching. Their 13-1 conference record places them firmly in control for the division title.

However, Tony Vitello and his Tennessee Vols, with a 10-5 SEC record and a six-game winning streak after their series seep against the LSU Tigers, aren’t backing down.

Just behind are the Vanderbilt Commodores and South Carolina Gamecocks, both at 8-7 in league play. Meanwhile, the Georgia Bulldogs and Florida Gators aren’t too far back as they both hold a 7-8 record. Missouri rounds out the bunch with a 5-10 record in SEC play.
