While they haven’t been perfect, the Bulldogs have gotten the season started in a strong showing. And really, lately, the Bulldogs have been on a tear, posting a 20-4 overall record and getting SEC play started with a 2-1 series win over a solid Ole Miss Rebels team.

Meanwhile, the Aggies have been one of the most dominant teams in the country this season, with a 23-2 overall record and a perfect 3-0 mark in SEC play.

They’re really, really solid.

Mississippi State softball best wins

Not much has changed in this department from last week. The Bulldogs now have a 20-4 record and there’s four ranked wins for Mississippi State to hang their hats on right now.

So far, MSU has two wins over the #23 Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns, one win over the #13 Utah Utes, and one win over #8 Clemson.

Here’s what those wins look like from a score perspective:

  • Mississippi State 9 – Louisiana 1 (6 innings)
  • Mississippi State 2 – Louisiana 1
  • Mississippi State 6 – Clemson 3
  • Mississippi State 10 – Utah 2

And then add a couple wins over Ole Miss to that one. That’s a really solid resume.

Mississippi State softball worst losses

And yeah, things haven’t really changed much here either. Mississippi State only lost once last weekend in an extra innings back-and-forth game that really could’ve gone either way. The Bulldogs probably should’ve swept the Rebels though.

Other than that?

There’s a loss to Oklahoma (who is the best college softball team on the planet over the last 3 or so seasons) and then a couple of late night contests out on the west coast against west coast teams.

Here’s what those losses look like:

  • UC Davis 2 – Mississippi State 1
  • Oklahoma 9 – Mississippi State 3
  • Fresno State 3 – Mississippi State 1

Texas A&M softball best wins

Yeah, with stats like that, it shouldn’t shock anyone that Texas A&M has managed to beat some impressive opponents. The #14 Oregon Ducks lost to TAMU on two occasions (once by a score of 4-1 and another by a score of 2-0).

The Aggies beat Michigan 6-0, which is solid. And then most recently Texas A&M swept the South Carolina Gamecocks in a close series.

The Aggies just haven’t lost much. In fact, the Aggies have only lost twice. They’re a really remarkable team.
