Mississippi State baseball vs. South Carolina preview: Important stats

The 2023 Mississippi State baseball season has been underwhelming. Keep an eye on these key stats as the Bulldogs prepare to host South Carolina.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs are at the bottom of the SEC baseball standings after just two series during the 2023 college baseball season. To say that the Bulldogs are struggling is likely an understatement.

And unfortunately for Chris Lemonis and the rest of the MSU baseball team, things don’t get any easier any time soon. MSU is about to face off against a really solid team as the South Carolina Gamecocks come to town.

If you thought that these the two teams would be even remotely comparable, then I’ve got some really bad news for you…

This post is part of a series previewing the Mississippi State baseball series against the South Carolina Gamecocks. Read more about the upcoming series between the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Gamecocks.

That’s horrendous.

Unless we see something drastically change in a hurry, there’s a very good chance that this weekend is really painful to watch for MSU baseball fans. Here’s to hoping that the Bulldogs have figured things out.
