The Mississippi State football team hasn’t played a game yet, but apparently the Bulldogs have already earned a little bit of respect as they prepare to get the 2020 season underway.
Heading into the first week of the season for Mississippi State, the Bulldogs are receiving some votes in the latest AP Poll. While it’s only a handful of votes, it is worth noting that Mississippi State has received some recognition.
In the third week of the poll, MSU was awarded 6 points, down slightly from 14 points in week two of the AP Poll. The Bulldogs are currently hanging out just slightly above the UAB Blazers and under the Arkansas State Red Wolves.
2020 will be a wild season and it’s hard to tell just exactly where the Bulldogs will stand at the end of it. With a brand new offense, a brand new defense, a brand new head coach, and a brand new quarterback, there’s a lot of factors that make it difficult to forecast how good this year will be for MSU.
Here’s what the AP Top 25 looks like this week:
- 1. Clemson Tigers
- 2. Alabama Crimson Tide
