Mississippi State basketball survives second half scare from Missouri Tigers

This game could have gone a little more smoothly in the second half, but a win is a win, right?

The Mississippi State Bulldogs were able to go to Columbia, Missouri and come away with a 67-63 win over the Mizzou Tigers.

Mississippi State was outscored 29-26 in the second half but was able to hold on and win against the Tigers. While this is a game that MSU could have conceivably won by a larger margin, at least the Bulldogs were able to get a road win against an SEC team.

And Mississippi State needs as many wins as possible if the Bulldogs hope to make the NCAA Tournament.

Tyson Carter led the Bulldogs in scoring with 15 points. Reggie Perry and Nick Weatherspoon each had 12 points.

Mississippi State is now 19-10 overall and 10-6 in the SEC with the win. The Bulldogs will head to Columbia, South Carolina Tuesday for their next game. MSU and South Carolina will play at 5:30 p.m.
