The college baseball postseason has arrived for the Southeastern Conference. The 2021 SEC Baseball Tournament is finally here and the 12 best teams in the conference have gathered together to find out which team will take home the tournament crown this year.
The first day of the 2021 SEC Baseball Tournament will come to a close as the Auburn Tigers and Ole Miss Rebels face off in the fourth game. Auburn and Ole Miss will play in the fourth game of the SEC Tourney with the winner advancing on to play on Wednesday and the loser heading home.
While Auburn is playing with the slim hope of trying to simply hoping to find a way to keep its season going, Ole Miss arrives in Hoover with the hopes of something greater. The Rebels, in theory, could find a way to make it to Omaha (if they can keep from getting in their own way and falling short in a regional, of course). The SEC Tournament is a good litmus test to see just how good Ole Miss actually is.

And who will win this match up between the Auburn Tigers and the Ole Miss Rebels in the 2021 SEC Baseball Tournament?
Earlier this season, when these two teams met in Oxford, Ole Miss was able to take care of the Tigers, winning all three games. The Rebels swept the series, beating Auburn 1-0 on Friday, March 19, 6-5 on Saturday, March 20, and 19-11 on Sunday, March 21.
Though those first two games were close, and decided by a combined two runs, game three, and what has happened since this series, is the indicator of just how much better Ole Miss is over Auburn. As much fun as it would be to see them stumble, the Rebels should win this game and advance on to face Vanderbilt tomorrow night.
