Alabama didn’t have to travel far to make it to the SEC Tournament, the Crimson Tide never do given that the tourney is held in Hoover, Alabama. But that short drive to get to the tournament doesn’t mean Alabama has been all that great. The Crimson Tide only managed to win 12 SEC games this season.
Meanwhile, South Carolina has been a little bit better and holds a 16-14 record in conference play this year. While Alabama needs to have a remarkable showing in the SEC Tourney to be able to make the 2021 NCAA Baseball Tournament, South Carolina is looking to build upon an already decent body of work and get a better seed.
