The college baseball postseason has arrived for the Southeastern Conference. The 2021 SEC Baseball Tournament is finally here and the 12 best teams in the conference have gathered together to find out which team will take home the tournament crown this year.

In the second game of the first round of the 2021 SEC Baseball Tournament, the Alabama Crimson Tide are set to meet with the South Carolina Gamecocks. The matchup will be in a single elimination game, so the winner will continue on to face off against Tennessee while the loser heads home.

Alabama didn’t have to travel far to make it to the SEC Tournament, the Crimson Tide never do given that the tourney is held in Hoover, Alabama. But that short drive to get to the tournament doesn’t mean Alabama has been all that great. The Crimson Tide only managed to win 12 SEC games this season.

Meanwhile, South Carolina has been a little bit better and holds a 16-14 record in conference play this year. While Alabama needs to have a remarkable showing in the SEC Tourney to be able to make the 2021 NCAA Baseball Tournament, South Carolina is looking to build upon an already decent body of work and get a better seed.

Here’s what you need to keep up with the Alabama Crimson Tide and the South Carolina Gamecocks as they meet up in the 2021 SEC Baseball Tournament:

And who will win this match up between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the South Carolina Gamecocks in the 2021 SEC Baseball Tournament?

This match up in the SEC Tourney is the first opportunity for these teams to meet this year, so the two haven’t had a chance to get familiar with each other until now. Alabama is currently on a four game losing streak and has lost seven of its last 10 games.

And while Alabama is struggling as of late, South Carolina is doing a little bit better. In their last 10 games, the Gamecocks are 6-4. So, if you’re looking for which team is more likely to come out on top of this contest, South Carolina seems like the team to pick.
